Ohio Northern University Housing provides:

  • Dynamic living-learning environments
  • A variety of on-campus housing options (residence halls, apartments, affinity housing, fraternity and sorority housing)

  • 2 networked computer outlets per room
  • 3-5 electrical outlets
  • ONU cable television service in all rooms
  • Telephones and voice mail in all rooms
  • Wall-to-wall carpeting
  • Extra long twin beds: loftable units provided
  • Desk, desk chair, shelving, towel rack, mirror and closet in all rooms
  • Overhead lighting
  • Apartments include kitchens with:
    • refrigerators, stove/oven, microwaves, disposals, counter or small table with 2 chairs
    • some include dishwashers
  • Apartments include living room with:
    • couch, chair, two end tables
  • Suites include common area/living room with:
    • couch or loveseat and one end table

Common areas of buildings include:

  • Kitchenettes
  • Vending machines
  • Coin operate laundry facilities
  • Study lounges
  • Televisions with cable
  • Microwaves
  • Refridgerators
  • Telephones
  • Common restrooms equipped with individual showers in some residence halls
  • Front desks (Recreation/athletic equipment, ironing boards, vacuums may be checked out)
  • Some areas include a computer lab
  • Some residential areas include work out room(s)
Other notes:
  • Residence halls that house first-year students DO NOT have air conditioning. In the event you need air conditioning for medical reasons, please click on Forms and Documents and complete the Air Conditioner form.
  • You are permitted to bring a refridgerator that does not exceed 1.7 cubic feet
  • All students may have a car on campus. There is a charge for parking passes. You may obtain one in the security office, located in the Hill Building.
  • Students living in the residence halls start with a 19 meal plan and can change it prior to winter quarter during advanced registration for classes.
  • All federal and local laws apply. It is recommended that students read the Student Handbook.
