In the Spotlight
Each day, the men and women of the Greek community are making a difference in the community, their chapters, and across the campus of Ohio Northern University.
Members of the Month
Each month, two members of the Greek community will be chosen based on their involvement not only in their chapter but in the greater community. Congratulations to the Greek Members of the Month!

Check out the latest amazing accomplishments of the Greek community at Northern!
Delta Zeta
"i Have a Choice" is a program that the Delta Zeta chapter sponsored on October 22 to provide a positive experience for the women of the chapter and Greek life as a whole. "i Have a Choice" is a nationally sponsored Delta Zeta event which provides knowledge to the campus communities about the dangers of excessive alcohol consumption. Delta Zeta Sorority's campaign worked to educate college - age students about the dangers of alcohol abuse, inspiring them to examine their lifestyles and make informed decisions regarding this and other substances. Moreover, the campaign partnered with the ONU campus community and Delta Zeta to eradicate the abuse of alcohol among college students. The campaign is also an active supporter of National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week. As a run was to spend time together without the presence of alcohol, this year's "i Have a Choice" program consisted of a corn-hole tournament. Almost 25 teams participated and were provided with free non alcoholic beverages. The winning teams were awarded with gift cards to Padrone's Pizza in Ada.
Kappa Alpha Theta
On Sunday, November 1st, the sisters of Kappa Alpha Theta and the brothers of Delta Sigma Phi joined together to take on the community in their annual Rake and Run. Several members of the Ada community watched from their windows and porches, as over 60 brothers and sisters surprised them with rakes, leaf raking, and warm friendly smiles! The brothers and sisters of these two Greek chapters look forward to this event each year, an afternoon full of fun, laughter, and giving back to the surrounding community!
Sigma Phi Epsilon
On October 10, Sigma Phi Epsilon hosted their 3rd annual balloon glow to raise awareness for youth aids. We filled the tundra with four hot air balloons to light up the tundra. We raised over 300 dollars for our philanthropy, Youth Aids.
Zeta Tau Alpha
In October, the Delta Theta chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha at Ohio Northern University celebrated the 50th anniversary of its chartering. Current sisters and alumni alike gathered at the Howard Johnson Inn in Lima, Ohio on Saturday, October 10 to reflect on our journey from local sorority Theta Phi Delta to membership in Zeta Tau Alpha. Attendees were asked to dress in black and white evening attire for the gala to make the occasion look extraordinary. A slide show of pictures from our days of Theta Phi Delta to the present was displayed while guests mingled and reunited before dinner. After dinner, a short program was presented by chapter president Alex Zoloty, chapter historian-reporter Natalyn Giverson and Vice President Alumnae I Lori Peters of ZTA’s National Council. While Zoloty and Giverson highlighted Delta Theta chapter’s 50 years of devoted sisterhood and dynamic growth, Ms. Peters addressed the healthy and promising state of the fraternity across the nation. Not only have the first 50 years of ZTA at ONU been remarkable, but the future looks bright for another successful 50 years of joy and sisterhood.
