Meal Plans

In order to meet your campus dining needs, we have designed the following meal plans for the 2007-2008 academic year. Students who live in residence halls must choose from one of these plans listed below. The plans are also available to apartment and commuting students. If you should have any questions about how to obtain or alter your meal plan, please call the Office of Residence Life at 419.772.2430, and they will be happy to assist you.

Meal Plan Programs

Any 19 Meal Plan - $1245 per quarter

You'll never have to cook! This plan is designed for students who will spend most of their time on campus with 19 meals per week plus $50 in Dining Dollars. No other meal plan offers you more.

Any 14 Meal Plan - $1205 per quarter

This is the perfect plan for students who opt not to eat all meals everyday, or who may be away on weekends. With 14 meals per week and $100 in Flex Dollars, this plan fits the lifestyle of a busy student.

Any 10 Meal Plan - $1205 per quarter

This plan is designed for the student who goes home on the weekends, has a part time job off-campus, or an internship. The $150 in Dining Dollars and 10 meals per week give the luxury of convenience.

For Apartment & Commuting Students

Students living in ONU apartments or off-campus may purchase any traditional meal plan option or one of the new Apartment/Off-campus plans. The meal plan acts as a debit card on your student ID and can be used at dining location on campus. The money on this meal plan will roll over from quarter to quarter, but any amount not used by the end of the year will be forfeited. Additional points may be purchased as needed at any time of the year in increments of $300, $450, and $600.

$330 in Points (Purchase price: $300)

$500 in Points (Purchase price: $450)

$675 in Points (Purchase price: $600)

Dining Dollars
Dining Dollars, otherwise known as Auxiliary Points are convenient, safe, easy, and smart. They work like a debit card. Funds are deposited into your account as part of a meal plan and purchases are automatically deducted at the cash register. The terminal will display your remaining balance. Dining Dollars are designed to cover between meals or snacks at the White Bear Inn, Northern on Main, guest meal purchases, and items that are not included in the meal equivalencies. Unused Dining Dollars do not carry over quarter to quarter.

Campus Cards
ONU uses a Campus Card, an electronically controlled system. The card contains a magnetic strip which is encoded with data that will activate the readers at food service locations.

Choice of meal plan will be entered on the Campus Card for use each time a student dines on campus. The Campus Card should be treated like a signed check or debit card. It is valuable, protect it. You must present your Campus Card to the door checker at each meal. Cards are not transferable between students and friends. Your meals may NOT be shared with anyone else. You may, however, use your Dining Dollars to treat friends and family to a meal.

Lost or stolen Campus Cards can be replaced. Should this happen to you, report it immediately to the Controller's Office.
