The Juvenile Justice Bureau of the Office of the State's Attorney of of Cook County, Illinois has several volunteer positions available for law students seeking to gain experience in prosecuting either child protection or delinquency cases. Law students will get first hand experience working in a courtroom and preparing for trial. Law students who have completed 3/5 of their credits toward a law degree can be issued a provisional license under Illinois Supreme Court Rule 711. Students who are not eligible under the 711 provision can also submit applications. Applications are available in the Office of Law Career Services. A Resume, letter of recommendation, transcript and writing sample are also required. Deadline to submit is April 1, 2008
