Treating HIV/AIDS in 2008

Learning Objectives

  1. Determine of the components of an individualized antiretroviral treatment (ART) regimen
  2. List differences between different classes of ART such as mechanism of action, side effect profile, and drug interactions
  3. Recommend an approved ART regimen in a treatment-naïve HIV-positive patient
  4. Identify the newest approved treatment strategies for HIV/AIDS
