Ohio Summer Honors Institutes are funded by the Ohio Department of Education.
This summer, Ohio Northern University will host its fourth Summer Honors Institute for gifted high school students who will be sophomores or juniors in 2009-2010. This year's institute includes 15 in-depth and challenging courses scheduled over a three-week period in July.
Each week-long program provides opportunities for exploring your education and career options. It's a great way to investigate a potential career choice or major. Plus, you'll have the chance to interact with other gifted students.
Eligibility
To be eligible to attend the Summer Honors Institute at ONU, you must:- Reside in Ohio
- Be entering the 10th or 11th grade during the 2009-2010 school year
- Be identified as "gifted" by an Ohio school district or be able to obtain a document stating that you meet Ohio gifted identification criteria as described in Ohio Administrative Code 3301-51-15
All students are accepted if space is available in the selected camp and completed forms are received with required documents and payment. Students will be notified if that camp is filled and will be given the opportunity to choose another camp.
