Assistant Professor of Nursing
The faculty has responsibilities include classroom campus laboratory and clinical laboratory. It is expected that they possess knowledge and demonstrate expertise in the teaching/learning process. Competency in assigned area of teaching is mandatory. Knowledge of student assessment and basic computer skills are an expectation. Participate in University, departmental and program activities regarding assessment/evaluation plan. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Completion of an approved registered nursing education program. Preferred doctorate in nursing or related field or doctorate in progress. Minimum qualifications are a master degree in nursing, experience for at least two years in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse and teaching experience. Applicant must hold current, valid, unrestricted license as a registered nurse in Ohio. Current CPR certification (American Heart Association) is required.

The Department of Nursing offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). There is an accelerated RN-BSN Completion Program track. At present there are 129 nursing majors.
The college comprises five divisions: humanities, social sciences, teacher education/technology/human performance and sport sciences, mathematics/natural sciences, and fine arts. There are sixteen departments, each with a chair reporting directly to the dean, and the college offers 45 majors and six degrees (BA, BFA, BS, B.S.C.L.S., BM, and B.S. Nursing). Professional programs are offered in the medical sciences, pre-seminary, pre-physical therapy, pre-occupational therapy, pre-physician assistant and pre-law. The Center for Teacher Education supports 14 teacher licensure programs accredited by NCATE and approved by the State of Ohio. Other programs in the college accredited by special disciplines are athletic training, chemistry and music. The faculty and teaching facilities are housed in eight academic buildings and there are two off-campus nature centers. The college cooperates with the other three undergraduate/first professional colleges in a number of programs and provides courses in liberal education, mathematics and the sciences for all first degree majors.
