Job Summary: 

Contribute to the efficient operation of The Inn by participating in the preparation of food.

Principle Responsibilities: 

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Prepare, cook and present all menu items and specials.
  2. Assure timely service for all orders.
  3. Prepare foods for breakfast such as potatoes, bacon, eggs.
  4. Prepare miscellaneous food for kitchen operation.
  5. Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards in the kitchen area to meet or exceed state and local health boards and hotel requirements.
  6. Store all clean items to the proper designated area.
  7. Assist with receiving and storage of deliveries.
  8. Participate in inventory control and weekly food and liquor ordering.
  9. Maintain a clean, neat and professional appearance.
  10. Practice good housekeeping and adherence to safety policies.
  11. Practices courtesy and cooperates with guests, co-workers and management.
  12. Performs any other duties assigned by management.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
Less than high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one month related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to perform basic math.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to carry out written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems.
