Habitat for Humanity Seeks Volunteer Opportunities in Ada Community

The Ohio Northern University chapter of Habitat for Humanity is looking to volunteer time through projects in and around homes in Ada and the surrounding communities.

Suggested projects include raking leaves, painting, moving, de-cluttering and shoveling snow. If you have a project that could be helped with a few extra hands, please contact Ross Robison at 260-417-7115 or at r-robison@onu.edu

ONU Student Wins Ping Award for Community Service

Ohio Northern University junior Katherine Feldhues, a youth ministry and sociology major from Milford, Ohio, has been honored with the 2009 Charles J. Ping Student Community Service Award from Ohio Campus Compact.

Feldhues received a $250 legacy grant as part of the award. Dr. Kendall L. Baker, Ohio Northern University president, nominated Feldhues in recognition of her work as coordinator of the Ada Friends program.

ONU Student Elected to Attend UMC General Conference

Ohio Northern University student Anna Barrett, a senior youth ministry major from Upper Sandusky, Ohio, will serve as a lay delegate to the United Methodist Church (UMC) General Conference held April 23 through May 2 in Fort Worth, Texas.
