Andrea Anderson was born in Buchanan, Michigan where her musical skills began attracting attention at the age of four. She studied at the Manhattan School of Music, Columbia University, University of Southern California and recently earned her PhD at Claremont Graduate University. Her teachers have been Robert Steinbauer, Bela Nagy, Robert Goldsand, Jeaneane Dowis, Gwendolyn Koldofsky, Daniel Pollack, and Bernardo Ségall.

The University Singers from Ohio Northern University will be presenting their annual fall tour in Ohio churches from Wednesday, Oct. 28 to Sunday, Nov. 1 in addition to a worship service in Lima on Sunday, October 25. The home concert will be Sunday, November 1 @ 7:00 p.m. in Presser Hall. The 50-voice select choir is under the direction of Dennis L. Kratzer, Director of Choral Activities and Professor of Music.
The ONU Men's Chorus, under the direction of Professor Dennis L. Kratzer in conjunction with the ONU Women's Chorus under the direction of Dr. Denise D'Arca, will present their annual fall concert this Sunday, Oct. 18 @ 7:00 p.m. in Presser Hall. The women will begin the concert and the men will close with the second half.
This concert will feature ONU's smaller chamber music ensembles: the Brass Choir, Flute Choir, Woodwind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, and Steel Drum Band. A wide variety of music that is sure to please. The event is free and open to the public.
Dr. Sarah Waters will present a Faculty recital in percussion. She will be playing music for marimba, vibraphone, and multiple percussion. Joining her will be Ludinda Alstaetter on flute and David Kosmyna on trumpet. The event is free and open to the public.
ONU Alumni Band will present their annual concert on Homecoming weekend. Admission is free and open to the public. The band was traditionally made up of former members of the jazz bands that were directed by the late Ed Williams, but now includes newer graduates as well. Please join us for a trip down the musical memory lane as we present our favorite tunes.

Assaf Sommer was born in Jerusalem, Israel and started taking piano lessons at the age of 5. He studied at the Rubin Conservatory of Music in Jerusalem and the Manhattan School of Music. He performed a solo recital in Carnegie Hall in 2006 and is now pursuing a Doctoral degree and Artist Diploma at CCM.
