A primary source for News, Sports, Weather, Public Affairs, Cultural Enrichment and Entertainment in West Central Ohio. Combining the Best of the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s , WONB's daytime format matches the radio needs of a desirable, "selective" audience. The evening format introduces our listeners to the Best in Today's Hits. Every Sunday, WONB Radio showcases the best in Smooth Jazz during the morning and afternoon, Gospel sounds in the afternoon and Oldies (50s, 60s, 70s) at night.

WONB, 94.9 FM is a non-commercial, educational radio station that schedules over 35,000 public service messages every year. Licensed to Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio, WONB FM serves a potential audience of over 350,000 people in west central Ohio.

WONB's studios are located in the Freed Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of Ohio Northern. Working with and learning from professionals in radio, television and cable, ONU students serve as program announcers; writers and reporters in news and sports; program producers; and broadcast promotion specialists.

WONB carries over 140 news and sportscasts per week as well as over 100 ONU and Ada sporting events every year. Students are also active in writing and producing public service and promotional announcements for community non-profit organizations. WONB - 94.9 is affiliated with several highly recognized and well respected professional media organizations including the National Association of Broadcasters; the Ohio Association of Broadcasters; the Radio and Television News Directors Association; the Cable News Network; and, College Broadcasters, Inc..

In 1994, the Associated Press of Ohio awarded WONB First Place Honors for its Overall Sports Operation. In 1995, WONB was awarded and Honorable Mention in the same category.

WONB is committed to serving the needs of Hardin County and the rest of West Central Ohio. Along with the musical programming, WONB regularly airs news and weather updates plus a weekly public affairs program and a weekly sports interview show.
