Brittany Farber named ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District for Women's Track & Field

ADA — Senior women's track & field athlete Brittany Farber has been named Second Team ESPN the Magazine Academic-All District IV as voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Farber is a four-year letterwinner in both indoor & outdoor track & field at Ohio Northern.
The East Sparta native is also a two-time Ohio Athletic Conference Champion. As a sophomore in 2008, she was a member of the outdoor 4x400-meter relay that claimed victory, while she won an individual title this year in the indoor 500-meter run.
Hope, Weyrauch and Bowsher compete for Outdoor Track & Field at NCAA Division III Championships

BEREA - Nicole Hope, Jacob Weyrauch and Alan Bowsher all competed at the 2010 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday at George Finnie Stadium on the campus of Baldwin-Wallace.
All three of the Ohio Northern track & field athletes competed in the finals on Thursday.

ADA - Seniors Alan Bowsher and Jacob Weyrauch and sophomore Nicole Hope will represent the Ohio Northern men's and women's track & field teams this weekend at the 2010 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
All three athletes will compete in the finals on Thursday at various times.

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - The Ohio Northern men's and women's track & field teams combined to turn in one NCAA automatic qualifying mark and three NCAA provisional qualifying marks at the Gregory Invitational hosted by North Central (Ill.) on Thursday and Friday.
The event was a non-scoring competition.
Five Polar Bears earn Academic All-OAC for Women's Cross Country/Track & Field

ADA — Three members of the Ohio Northern women's cross country and track & field teams have been named Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference, while two others have been named Honorable Mention Academic All-OAC as selected by the OAC faculty athletic representatives.
Seniors Janelle Jansen, Brittany Farber and Rachel Smith all earned Academic All-OAC, and senior Rebecca Silverstein and sophomore Nicole Hope were both Honorable Mention Academic All-OAC.

ALLIANCE -- Freshman Alison Steinbrunner won the 1500-meter run to lead the Ohio Northern women to a third place finish at the 2010 Ohio Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships Friday and Saturday at Mount Union Stadium.

ALLIANCE - The Ohio Northern women's track & field team sits in a tie for second place, while the men's track & field team is tied for third place after Day 1 of the 2010 Ohio Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Mount Union.
Mount Union leads the women's event with 63 points. Baldwin-Wallace and Ohio Northern share second place with 29 points apiece.
Aubrie Stechschulte named OAC Track & Field Athlete of the Week

ADA – Ohio Northern Junior Aubrie Stechschulte has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women’s Field Athlete of the Week for the week of April 19 – 25.
Stechschulte helped guide the Polar Bears (20 – 17) to a strong performance at the Baldwin-Wallace Sparky Adams Invitational.
The invitational was a non-scoring event.
Stechschulte finished second in the pole vault, clearing 11-9.75. Stechschulte finished narrowly behind Pittsburgh’s Victoria Toso.
