Women's Tennis to start 2010-11 season Sept. 17-19 at Oberlin Invitational

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's tennis team will kick off its 2010-11 season at the Oberlin Invitational September 17-19.  

ONU will join national top 10 teams Denison, Washington & Lee (Va.), Johns Hopkins (Md.), and a host of regionally ranked teams.  

Tournament play will also see the Bears travel to St. Louis for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association regional championships.

ADA — Tenth Year women’s tennis coach Scott Wills is pleased to announce the team’s 2010-11 recruiting class.   
 
The Polar Bears will field the youngest team in school history in 2010-2011.

Seven student/athletes named to Academic All-OAC Women's At-Large team

ADA — Seven Ohio Northern student/athletes were named to the Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference Women's At-Large team for 2009-10 in voting conducted by the league's 10 faculty advisors.

Six Polar Bears, senior diver/golfer Terri Lynn Shigle, senior swimmers Katherine Moore and Jillian Huber, junior swimmer Hannah Bukowy, sophomore swimmer Alison Garbash and junior tennis player Kristin Timperman were named Academic All-OAC, while sophomore swimmer Sarah Fiffick was named Honorable Mention Academic All-OAC.
