    COLUMBUS -- The Ohio Northern wrestling team opened its 2009-10 season Sunday with a 2-2 record at the Buckeye Duals, hosted by Ohio State.

    The Polar Bears fell to King's (Pa.) 19-17, defeated Lycoming (Pa.) 24-17 and Seton Hill (Pa.) 22-21 before falling to Wilkes (Pa.) 24-19 to end the day.

    No. 2-ranked All-American Luke Miller went 4-0 on the day with a pin and two major decisions at 157 pounds. He also posted an impressive 4-2 victory over No. 4-ranked Christopher Dahlheimer of Lycoming at 165 pounds.

    ADA — The Ohio Northern wrestling team was picked to finish second in the Ohio Athletic Conference regular season and third in the OAC Tournament in 2009-10 OAC in voting conducted by the league's seven head coaches.

    The Polar Bears received 28 points in the regular season poll and 27 points in the OAC Tournament poll.

    Defending OAC champion Heidelberg was picked to win both titles, receiving 35 points and five first place votes in the tournament poll and 36 points and six first place votes in the regular season poll.

    ADA — Senior tennis player Ryan Paul (West Milton/Milton-Union), and sophomore wrestler Luke Miller (Indiana, Pa.) were named ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District IV At-Large for the 2008-09 seasons in voting conducted by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

    Paul was a First Team selection and Miller was a Second Team honoree.

    Paul, a management/sports management major, is also a two-time Academic All-OAC honoree and is a three-time All-Conference honoree.
