Emily Gedert

ADA — Sophomore Emily Gedert (Toledo/Notre Dame) has been named Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for the week of October 5 - October 11.

Gedert began the week at the Allegheny (Pa.) Invitational by tying for 24th with an 88.

Her best performance of the week, and her career, occurred over the weekend at The Pat Clouse Invitational hosted by Wittenberg.

SPRINGFIELD - Sophomore Emily Gedert shot a 36-hole career-low and the third lowest score in Ohio Northern history with a 75-81--156 to lead the Ohio Northern women's golf team to a sixth-place finish at The Pat Clouse Invitational hosted by Wittenberg at Windy Knoll Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday.

ONU is now 34-13 on the year with a total of 337-347--684. The 36-hole team total is the fifth best score in school history.

MEADVILLE, Pa. - The Ohio Northern women's golf team finished in sixth place of nine teams at the Allegheny (Pa.) Invitational played at The Country Club of Meadville Thursday afternoon.

The Polar Bears finished with 357 strokes on the par 73, 5,385-yard course and are now 24-8 on the season.

TIFFIN — Ashley Johnson fired an 80-83—163 to lead the Ohio Northern women's golf team to a victory at the 4-team Heidelberg Invitational Saturday and Sunday at the Mohawk Country Club.

The Polar Bears (21-3) finished with a 338-343—681 to easily defeat Baldwin-Wallace (795), Defiance (813) and Heidelberg (818).

Johnson was second overall out of 24 golfers.

DEFIANCE -- Emily Gedert, Ashley Johnson and Lauren Miller finished 1-2-3 to lead the Ohio Northern women's golf team to a victory at the 5-team Defiance Fall Invitational Monday at the Kettenring Golf Course.

The Polar Bears (18-3) finished with 333 strokes, a full 31 shots ahead of second place Northwestern Ohio, who finished second with a 364. Heidelberg finished third with a 404, Defiance was fourth with a 421 and Mount Saint Joseph was fifth with a 433.
