ADA - The No. 4-ranked Ohio Northern volleyball team remained undefeated by sweeping Defiance in three sets 25-9, 25-17, 25-23 Tuesday evening at the ONU Sports Center.

The Polar Bears improve to a perfect 5-0 on the season, while the Yellow Jackets dip below .500 at 2-3.

ADA — Senior right side hitter Renee Berry has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Division III National Player of the Week for her efforts at the ONU Invitational on September 4-5.

This is the first time in her career that Berry, a Perrysville, Ohio, native, has earned the award and the ninth time that an Ohio Northern athlete has earned the award.

The Polar Bears were awarded the honor three times last season, with senior Liz Schnelle winning the award twice and graduated senior Katie Weininger winning the award once.

ADA —  Senior Renee Berry (Perrysville/Loudonville) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of August 31 - September 6.

Berry was named the ONU Invitational MVP after turning in a career weekend and leading Ohio Northern to a 4-0 record and its 12th ONU Invitational title.

ADA - For the second consecutive day, senior Renee Berry put up career numbers and led the No. 6-ranked Ohio Northern volleyball team to another pair of three-set sweeps over No. 8-ranked Southwestern (Texas) and Thomas More (Ky.) Saturday afternoon at the ONU Sports Center.

ADA -  The No. 6-ranked Ohio Northern volleyball team got off to a great start by sweeping both Heidelberg and No. 16 Calvin (Mich.) at the ONU Invitational Friday evening at the ONU Sports Center.

The Polar Bears go to 2-0 on the year and will look to win the ONU Invitational tomorrow.
