No. 7 Volleyball beats Capital on Senior Day in convincing three-set sweep

ADA - The No. 7 Ohio Northern volleyball team had an enjoyable Senior Day, as the Polar Bears cruised to a 25-14, 25-20, 25-19 sweep over Capital Saturday afternoon at the ONU Sports Center.

Northern is now 25-3 overall and ends the Ohio Athletic Conference regular season with a 7-2 record.

Capital drops to 16-14 overall and 5-4 in the OAC.

ADA - The No. 7 Ohio Northern volleyball team was solid on both offense and defense, recording a .356 hitting percentage and holding Baldwin-Wallace to an .047 hitting percentage in a 3-0 victory Tuesday night at Ursprung Gymnasium.

The Polar Bears improve to 24-3 overall and 6-2 in the OAC with the 25-17, 25-9, 25-11 victory, while the Yellow Jackets are now 4-24, 1-7 OAC.

ALLIANCE - Mount Union upset the No. 5 Ohio Northern volleyball team Saturday afternoon, beating the Polar Bears by a slim 16-14 margin in Set 5 to take over second place in the Ohio Athletic Conference.

Northern falls to 23-3 overall on the year and 5-2 in the OAC. Mount Union moves to 20-4 and 6-1 in the OAC with the 20-25, 25-20, 25-17, 18-25, 16-14 victory.

Liz Schnelle becomes OAC's all-time career kills leader in No. 5 Volleyball's 3-0 win over Wilmington

ADA - Senior All-American Liz Schnelle became the Ohio Athletic Conference's most prolific offensive threat by becoming the conference's all-time kills leaders Tuesday night in the No. 5 Ohio Northern volleyball team's 3-0 victory over Wilmington at the ONU Sports Center.

With the win, Ohio Northern is now 23-2 overall and 5-1 in the OAC, while Wilmington is now 1-15, 0-6.

Volleyball to play in Dig Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness match against Wilmington

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's volleyball ball team will be hosting Wilmington this evening at 7 pm at the ONU Sports Center in an event called Dig Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness.

Tonight's match, in conjunction with the four other Ohio Athletic Conference matches this evening, will be playing volleyball in an effort to raise money for the Side-Out Foundation and breast cancer awareness.
