ADA — Brian Hofman has been named the Division III National Assistant Volleyball Coach of the Year according to the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
This is the organization's inaugural award for National Assistant Coach of the Year.
Hofman is in his 17th season as an assistant coach for the Ohio Northern volleyball team and focuses primarily as a middle hitters coach.

ADA —The Ohio Northern volleyball team fell one spot and ended the season ranked No. 6 in the final Sports Imports/AVCA Coaches poll that was released on Tuesday.
The Polar Bears finished the season at 30-4 received 453 points in the final poll
Northern spent the entire season ranked between positions No. 4 and No. 6.

ADA - Senior three-time All-American Liz Schnelle has earned an award she has yet to receive in her record-breaking career, as she was named CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine First Team Academic All-America.
Schnelle was named First Team Academic All-District IV earlier this season as well as First Team Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference.
This award comes less than a week after Schnelle was named AVCA First Team All-America for the second consecutive season. She also earned AVCA Third Team All-America honors as a sophomore.
Volleyball Highlights
• NCAA all-divisions record 32 consecutive winning seasons
• 25 NCAA Tournament Appearances in 28 years of the tournament, posting a 33-25 record
• 1 NCAA Finals appearance, 2 NCAA Semifinal appearances and 5 NCAA Quarterfinal appearances
• 21 OAC Regular Season Championships and 17 OAC Tournament Championships since the OAC began sponsoring volleyball in 1984.
• 22 All-Americans
• 5 Academic All-Americans
• 8 OAC Players of the Year
• OAC Coach of the Year nine times
• 52 First Team All-OAC honorees
• 36 First Team Academic All-OAC honorees
• Head coach Kate Witte has won 488 matches at ONU while compiling 15 OAC Regular Season Titles and 12 OAC Tournament Titles in her 18 years at the helm.
• ONU has won nine consecutive OAC Regular Season Championships
