Rain forces postponement of No. 12-ranked Softball team's games with John Carroll on Friday

ADA — Rain has forced the postponement of the No. 12-ranked Softball team's doubleheader against John Carroll, scheduled for Friday.

The games have been rescheduled for Noon on Saturday at the ONU Softball Field.

Cretin's grand slam lifts No. 9 Softball to split with Mount Union

ADA --  Katie Cretin smashed a grand slam home run to lead the No. 9-ranked Ohio Northern softball team to a split with Mount Union in an Ohio Athletic Conference doubleheader Saturday afternoon at the ONU Softball Field.

Mt. Union won the first game 4-1 and ONU took the second game 10-4.

ADA -- No. 12-ranked Ohio Northern swept Otterbein 1-0 and 15-1 in an Ohio Athletic Conference doubleheader Wednesday at the ONU Softball Field.

The Polar Bears improve to 16-1 overall and 3-1 in OAC play, while the Cardinals fall to 11-7, 1-3.

ADA -- Both days of the Washington (Mo.) Invitational softball tournament in St. Louis, Mo., were cancelled due to rain and snow Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday's action was cancelled due to rain and Sunday's schedule was cancelled due to snow and sleet in the St. Louis area.

No. 12 Softball improves to 14-1 with 7-1 victory at Denison

GRANVILLE -- The No. 12-ranked Ohio Northern softball team improved to 14-1 on the season with a 7-1 victory at Denison Wednesday afternoon.

Game two of the twin-bill was cancelled in the top of the second inning and was called a no contest. Denison was leading 5-3, but ONU had the bases loaded and no one out when the game was stopped.

The Polar Bears improve to 14-1 overall, while the Big Red are now 5-8.
