No. 11 Softball splits twin-bill with Anderson (Ind.) on Senior Day

ADA -- No. 11-ranked Ohio Northern split a non-conference doubleheader with Anderson (Ind.) Thursday afternoon at the ONU Softball Field.

The Polar Bears (28-3) won the opener 8-2, while the Ravens (20-12) won the nightcap 13-9.

No. 12 Softball, Men's tennis contests with Wilmington on Tuesday postponed due to rain

ADA — The Ohio Northern softball and men's tennis contests on Tuesday with Wilmington have been postponed due to rain.

The softball doubleheader at home against Wilmington has been rescheduled for Sunday at 1 pm at the ONU Softball Field.

The men's tennis match at Wilmington has been rescheduled for Friday at 3:30 pm.

Decima, Cash named OAC Softball Hitter, Pitcher of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern juniors Liz Decima (Freedom, Pa./Ambridge) and Cortney Cash (Crown Point, Ind./Marian Catholic) were named the Ohio Athletic Conference Softball Players of the Week for the week of April 13-19.

Decima was named the Hitter of the Week and Cash was named the Pitcher of the Week, leading the No. 12-ranked Polar Bears (27-2 overall, 12-2 OAC) to an 8-0 record last week.

Decima hit .615, going 16 for 26 with 14 runs scored, five doubles, a home run and seven RBI.

ADA -- No. 12-ranked Ohio Northern erupted for 20 runs and got stellar pitching from Cortney Cash in a pair of 10-0 softball victories over Kenyon Sunday afternoon in Game 1 of a doubleheader at the ONU Softball Field.

The Polar Bears improve to 27-2, while the Ladies fall to 16-16.

COLUMBUS —  Freshman Kim Blewett drove in five big runs and senior Danielle Goubeaux collected five hits to lead the No. 12-ranked Ohio Northern softball team to an 8-4, 5-2 sweep at Capital at Clawson Field on Saturday.
