ADA — Sophomore Ashley Sujkowski has earned the right to join the latest impressive list of Ohio Northern student/athletes and staff members that have represented the United States in international athletics competition.

Kim Burke named head softball coach at Ohio Northern

ADA — The Ohio Northern University athletic department has announced Kim Burke as the new head softball coach. She replaces six-year head coach Annette Shepherd.

“I am extremely excited to be joining the Polar Bear family,” says Burke. “I found (athletic director) Tom Simmons and the rest of the Ohio Northern staff very welcoming during my time on campus and I’m looking forward to being a part that tight-nit group.”

Softball team finishes season ranked No. 12 in final NFCA poll

ADA —The Ohio Northern softball team finished the 2010 season ranked No. 12 in the final weekly National Fastpitch Coaches Association poll that was released on Wednesday.

The Polar Bears finished 41-7 on the season and won the 2010 OAC Regular Season crown with a 17-1 record under sixth-year head coach Annette Shepherd.
