ADA — Ohio Northern senior Alan Bowsher (Cygnet/Elmwood) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Year for 2009.
Bowsher ended his senior year as the OAC individual champion with a time of 25: 21.08 to lead the Polar Bears to the team title.
He placed fourth (25:55.90) out of 248 runners at the Great Lakes Regional to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
At the national meet, Bowsher finished 76th (26:35) out of 276 runners.

CLEVELAND -- Ohio Northern seniors Alan Bowsher and Justin Dickman wrapped up their careers with solid performances at the NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Championships Saturday afternoon and the Highand Hills Golf Course, hosted by Ohio Athletic Conference friend Baldwin-Wallace.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. --Seniors Alan Bowsher and Justin Dickman finished 4th and 7th, respectively, to lead the No. 32-ranked Ohio Northern men's cross country team to a seventh place finish at the 2009 NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Cross Country Championships Saturday afternoon at the LaVern Gibson Cross Country Course.

• Back-to-back OAC Championships team titles in 2007 & 2008
