Men's, Women's Cross Country squads to open 2010 seasons Sept. 4 at Dayton Challenge

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's and women's cross country teams will open up their 2010 schedules Sept. 4 at the Dayton Flyer 5k Challenge.
The Polar Bears, under second-year head coach Jason Maus, will also compete at Bowling Green, Calvin (Mich.), Furman and Oberlin in invitational meets during the regular season.
Joe Amstutz and Alan Bowsher both named ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District for Men's Track & Field and Cross Country

ADA — Seniors Joe Amstutz and Alan Bowsher have both been named ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District IV in voting conducted by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
The pair of athletes graduated from Ohio Northern recently, as Amstutz earned his degree in electrical engineering and Bowsher earned his degree in biology.
Amstutz was a highly decorated four-year runner for the Ohio Northern track & field team, winning five Ohio Athletic Conference Championships during his tenure.
Men's Cross Country/Track & Field boasts eight Academic All-OAC team members

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's cross country and track & field teams had an impressive six athletes earn Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference and two earn Honorable Mention Academic All-OAC as voted on by the league's faculty athletic representatives.
Seniors Jacob Weyrauch, Alan Bowsher, Joe Amstutz and Ben McPheron and juniors Garrett Brown and Shane Huntley were all named Academic All-OAC. Senior Mike Johnson and junior Travis Isenberg were both Honorable Mention Academic All-OAC.
