Men's Tennis team draws even in OAC action with 9-0 victory over Muskingum

ADA – The Ohio Northern men’s tennis team shut out Muskingum 9-0 Tuesday afternoon at University Courts for its first Ohio Athletic Conference win of the season.

The Polar Bears better their record to 3-4 overall and 1-1 in the OAC, while the Muskies move to 0-7 overall and 0-2 in the conference.

Men's Tennis match against Defiance on Thursday is postponed

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's tennis match with Defiance, scheduled for Thursday, march 19 in Ada, has been postponed.

No makeup date has been scheduled.

The Polar Bears (2-4 overall, 0-1 Ohio Athletic Conference) will return to action on Tuesday, March 24 at home against Muskingum at 3:30 pm.

 

Kowalczyk, Carter lead Men's Tennis team in OAC opener at John Carroll

SOUTH EUCLID – The Ohio Northern men’s tennis team fell in its Ohio Athletic Conference opener at John Carroll 7-2 Monday night at the Oakwood Country Club.

Ohio Northern moves to 2-4 overall and 0-1 in the OAC while John Carroll betters its record to 4-5 overall and 1-0 in the conference.

Freshman Nick Kowalczyk picked up a win at number two doubles by defeating Chad Ruehs 6-2, 6-1.

Walsh edges Men's Tennis 6-3 in Polar Bears' spring home opener

ADA – The Ohio Northern men’s tennis team dropped its first home match of the spring season 6-3 to Walsh University Friday afternoon in the Fieldhouse at the ONU Sports Center Fieldhouse.

The Polar Bears move to 2-3 overall this season, while the Cavaliers better their record to 3-4 overall.

ONU started off well by winning two of the three doubles matches.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Ohio Northern men's tennis team capped off its spring break trip in style, knocking off NCAA Division I foe Mount Saint Mary's (Md.) 6-3 Thursday afternoon.

The Polar Bears improve to 2-2, while the Mountaineers fall to 1-8.

Jay Vaidya and Jeff Carter each won twice to lead Ohio Northern.
