Ryan Paul

ADA — Ohio Northern senior Ryan Paul (West Milton/Milton-Union) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the week of April 13-19.

Paul went 2-0 at No. 1 singles and No. 1 at No. 1 doubles to lead the Polar Bears (9-5 overall, 5-2 OAC) to 9-0 victories over Heidelberg and Otterbein last week.

He ranks seventh all-time at ONU with 112 career victories and is fourth with 64 doubles wins.

This season, Paul is 9-11 in singles (7-7 at No. 1) and is 11-10 in doubles (8-6 at No. 1).

ADA – The Ohio Northern men’s tennis team shut out Otterbein Wednesday afternoon 9-0 at University Courts.

The Polar Bears improve their record to 9-5 overall and 5-2 in the Ohio Athletic Conference while the Cardinals move to 5-14 overall and 3-4 in the conference.

In number one doubles, senior Ryan Paul and freshman Nick Kowalczyk defeated Ryan Catanese and Tyler Brodhead 8-1.

ADA – The Ohio Northern men’s tennis team shut out Heidelberg Wednesday afternoon 9-0 in the ONU Sports Center.

The Polar Bears better their record to 8-5 overall and 4-2 in the Ohio Athletic Conference while the Student Princes fall to 3-4 overall and 2-3 in the conference.

Senior Ryan Paul defeated Moody Al-Turk in number one singles action 6-1, 6-2.

ADA – The Ohio Northern men’s tennis team defeated Ohio Athletic Conference-foe Baldwin-Wallace Tuesday afternoon 8-1 at the ONU Sports Center.

The Polar Bears improve their record to 7-5 overall and 3-2 in the OAC while the Yellow-Jackets move to 14-3 overall and 3-2 in the conference.

ADA - Ohio Northern senior Chris Dohner has been named Ohio Athletic Conference men's tennis Player of the Week for the week of March 30-April 5.

Dohner went a perfect 6-0 on the week in matches against Bluffton, Capital and Mount Union.

With the six victories, Dohner now has 101 career wins and is the 15th member of Ohio Northern's 100-Win Club.
