Men's Tennis enjoys another outstanding season in 2009-10

ADA — The 2009-10 campaign was one for the record books for the Ohio Northern men’s tennis program.

The Polar Bears posted their 26th consecutive winning season with a 20-3 overall record, won the Ohio Athletic Conference regular season crown with a 9-0 mark, won the OAC Tournament title and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III Tournament.

ADA — Junior Jeff Carter was one of five Polar Bears named to the Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference Men's At-Large team for 2009-10 in voting conducted by the league's 10 faculty advisors.

Junior swimmer Casey Davis and junior wrestler Luke Miller were named Academic All-OAC, while Carter, sophomore swimmer Ryan Bender and junior wrestler Nick Hoopes were named Honorable Mention All-OAC.

ADA — Sophomore Nick Kowalczyk and freshman Joey Frank led a group of four Ohio Northern student/athletes to be named All-Ohio Athletic Conference in men's tennis for the 2010 men's tennis season in voting conducted by the league's 10 head coaches.

Kowalczyk and Frank were First Team All-OAC honorees, junior Jeff Carter was a Second Team pick and sophomore Andrew Korba was an Honorable Mention selection.

Head coach Bob Rohan was also named the OAC Coach of the Year.
