ADA — Ohio Northern sophomore Ryan Bender was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week for the week of Jan. 25-31.

Bender won five events on the weekend to lead the Polar Bears to victories over Notre Dame (Ohio) and Case Western Reserve at the ONU Sports Center.

Against CWR on Saturday, he won the 200 fly in 1:59.50 and the 200 back in 1:58.44 and was second in the 200 IM in 2:00.14.

On Friday against Notre Dame, he won the 100 back in 55.32 and was on both of ONU's winning 200 medley and 200 free relay teams.

ADA — The Ohio Northern men’s swimming and diving team defeated Case Western 186-114 to finish the regular season with a program-high 10 wins in dual and tri-meets at the ONU Sports Center as Ohio Northern recognized the team’s seniors and also hosted the fourth annual “Swim for Cystic Fibrosis” event on Saturday afternoon.

With the win, the Polar Bears improve to 10-1 overall, while the Spartans fall to 6-3 overall.

ADA —  With six different Polar Bears winning, the Ohio Northern men’s swimming and diving team defeated Notre Dame (Ohio) 175-66 at the ONU Sports Center on Friday night.

The Polar Bears improve to 9-1 overall with the win, while the Falcons fall to 2-8 on the season.

Ohio Northern was led by junior Casey Davis and sophomore Nick Meyer, as each posted two individual wins.
