    WILMINGTON —  The Ohio Northern men’s swimming and diving team defeated Wilmington College 124-76 in Wilmington Friday night.

    The Polar Bears improve to 2-0 overall (2-0 Ohio Athletic Conference), while the Quakers fall to 0-3 overall (0-3 OAC).

    Ohio Northern received two more wins from junior Michael Schultz.

    ADA — Ohio Northern junior Garrett Dauch (Norwalk/Saint Paul) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men’s Swimmer of the Week for the week of Oct. 26-Nov. 1.

    Last week, Dauch led the Ohio Northern men’s swimming and diving team to a 186.5-113.5 win over John Carroll to open the 2009-10 season Saturday afternoon.

    He added two individual victories for the Polar Bears, winning the 200 free in 1:51.78 and the 200 back in 2:05.75.

    ADA —  The Ohio Northern men’s swimming and diving team opened up its 2009-10 season with a 186.5-113.5 win over John Carroll Saturday afternoon in the ONU Sports Center.

    The Polar Bears improve to 1-0 overall (1-0 Ohio Athletic Conference), while the Blue Streaks fall to 1-1 overall (1-1 OAC).

    Ohio Northern received contributions from several members of the team, with five swimmers each posting two individual victories.
