COLUMBUS -- Ohio Dominican scored the winning goal with just seconds left in regulation, downing the No. 21-ranked Ohio Northern men's soccer team 2-1 Wednesday evening at Panther Field.

The Polar Bears fall to 2-1-1, while the host Panthers improve to 3-1.

Ohio Dominican is currently a dual member of NCAA Division II and NAIA.

Dan Otanicar

ADA — In his first week back after missing the 2008 season due to injury, junior Dan Otanicar (Wadsworth) has been selected as the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the week of August 31 - September 6.

Otanicar scored at least one goal in each of Ohio Northern's three games this week, including his first career hat trick in a 7-0 victory over Bridgewater (Va.) on Friday at the Roanoke (Va.) Invitational.

The Polar Bears posted a 2-0-1 record behind the offensive outburst from Otanicar.

ROANOKE, Va. -- Junior Dan Otanicar scored the equalizer with 16.8 seconds left in regulation as No. 11 Ohio Northern and Roanoke (Va.) played to a 1-1 double overtime tie in the title match of the Roanoke Tournament on a rainy Saturday evening at Donald J. Kerr Stadium.

Both teams are 2-0-1 on the season.

The Polar Bears improve to 1-0, while the Spartans fall to 0-1.
