LIMA — Ben Kretz fired a 5-over par 77 to take Medalist honors and lead the Ohio Northern men’s golf team to a 319-329 victory over Northwestern Ohio Saturday afternoon at Colonial Golfers Club.

The Polar Bears (13-42) also got a 79 from Paul Morbitzer to help defeat the Racers (18-17).

Kretz had three birdies on the day to post his tournament-low round of 77 on the par-72, 6886-yard course.

SPRINGFIELD — The Ohio Northern men’s golf team finished eighth of 11 varsity teams Tuesday at the 36-hole Wittenberg Fall Invitational.

The Polar Bears (12-42) shot a 330-310—640 for the tournament over the par-71, 6834-yard Windy Knoll Golf Course.

ALLIANCE — The Ohio Northern men’s golf team finished in eighth place at the two-day Mount Union Invitational Sunday and Monday.

First round play on Sunday was at the par-71, 6694-yard Tannenhauf Golf Course, while the final round on Monday was at the par-72, 6411-yard Alliance Country Club.

The Polar Bears (9-35) shot a 623 for the tournament. John Carroll won the tournament with a 569, Mount Union was second with a 588 and Otterbein was third with a 596.
