ADA — The Ohio Northern women's basketball team will be participating in the WBCA Pink Zone® initiative in conjunction with the other nine schools in the Ohio Athletic Conference during the week of February 8-14.

ADA – Ohio Northern senior forward Kyle Meyer scored a team-high 24 points, but the ONU men’s basketball team lost to Mount Union 67-63 Sunday afternoon in Ohio Athletic Conference action at the ONU Sports Center.

The Polar Bears move to 11-10 overall and 9-5 in conference play while the Purple Raiders improve to 9-12 overall and 7-7 in the OAC.

ALLIANCE -- Sophomore Kara Dysert set a new season-high in points with 17, but it was not enough as the Ohio Northern women’s basketball team fell 61-51 at Mount Union Sunday afternoon.

Ohio Northern falls to 13-8 overall and 8-6 in the Ohio Athletic Conference while Mount Union improves to 18-3 overall (11-3 OAC).

Dysert would also finish with nine rebounds, one shy of her second double-double of the season.

ADA — Heavy snow has forced the postponement of two basketball games and the cancellation of a track meet for the Ohio Northern varsity athletics teams on Saturday.

The Men's Basketball game at home with Mount Union, slated for 3 pm, has been postponed and has been rescheduled for Sunday at 1 pm at the ONU Sports Center.

The Women's Basketball game at Mount Union, also slated for 3 pm, has been postponed and has been rescheduled for Sunday at 1 pm.

ADA — The Ohio Northern women’s soccer team had several individual players earn Division III All-Ohio and Division III Academic All-Ohio awards from the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association.

Seniors Stacey Barnhart and Kaitlin Sanders led the way for the Polar Bears as both were named First Team All-Ohio and Academic All-Ohio.

ADA — The Ohio Northern men’s soccer team had individual players earn Division III All-Ohio and Division III Academic All-Ohio awards from the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association.

Junior forward Dan Otanicar received First Team honors on both All-Ohio and Academic All-Ohio lists as he scored nine goals and contributed four assists for 22 points this past season along with excelling in the classroom in Accounting and Pre-Dentistry.
