Men's Basketball hangs on for 82-79 victory over Baldwin-Wallace

ADA – The Ohio Northern men’s basketball held on Saturday afternoon as it defeated Baldwin-Wallace 82-79 at home in the ONU Sport Center.

Junior Kyle Meyer scored a game-high 23 points and sophomore Sam Bastian scored 18 points along with a team-high eight rebounds to lead the Polar Bears to a win.

The two combined to score 16 straight points down the stretch for ONU.

Men's Basketball wins in overtime 94-88 over Heidelberg

TIFFIN – Despite trailing by as many as eight points in the second half, the Ohio Northern men’s basketball team won at Heidelberg 94-88 in overtime Thursday evening at Seiberling Gymnasium.

Sophomore Sam Bastian had a career-high 25 points and junior Kyle Meyer scored 23 points to lead ONU.

Ohio Northern men’s, women’s basketball games with Heidelberg on Wednesday postponed

ADA — Due to the snowy weather conditions throughout the Midwest, the Ohio Northern men’s and women’s basketball games with Heidelberg scheduled for tonight at 7:30 pm, have been postponed and will be played on Thursday.

Late scoring drought costly as Marietta edges Men's Basketball 69-67

ADA – After defeating Marietta by 25 earlier in the season, the Ohio Northern men’s basketball team was upset by the Pioneers 69-67 Saturday afternoon at the ONU Sports Center.

The Polar Bears move to 12-5 overall and 7-3 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Pioneers better their record to 9-8 overall and 4-6 in the OAC.

Kurtis Brown’s career-high 22 leads Men's Basketball past Muskingum 82-66

ADA – Senior Kurtis Brown scored a career-high 22 points to lead the Ohio Northern men’s basketball team to an 82-66 win over Muskingum Wednesday night at the ONU Sports Center.

The Polar Bears move to 12-5 overall and 7-2 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Muskies mover to 7-9 overall and 4-5 in the OAC.

ADA – The Ohio Northern men’s basketball team got back to its winning ways with a 67-44 win over Mount Union Saturday afternoon at the ONU Sports Center.

Kyle Meyer led the Polar Bears with 22 points as he went a perfect 10-of-10 from the floor.

This is the second time in his career going perfect from the floor with at least 10 field goals as he went 12-of-12 for 24 points last season against Marietta.

Capital edges Men's Basketball 96-88 in overtime in battle of league leaders

BEXLEY -- Capital scored on its first four possessions of the overtime, then put the game away on the foul line in a 96-88 victory over Ohio Northern Saturday afternoon at the Capital Center.

The Polar Bears fall to 10-4 overall and 5-2 in Ohio Athletic Conference play, while the Crusaders improve to 12-1, 5-1.

Meyer's double-double not enough as Wilmington edges Men's Basketball 78-71

ADA – Despite a career-high 15 rebounds from junior Kyle Meyer, the Ohio Northern men’s basketball team lost late to Wilmington Wednesday night by a score of 78-71 at the ONU Sports Center.

Meyer’s 13 points and 15 rebounds were good for his fourth career double-double and his second of the season.

The result puts ONU and WC in a tie atop the Ohio Athletic Conference with Capital a half-game behind.

Men's Basketball appears in D3Hoops.com poll for ninth time in 10 years

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's basketball team is receiving mention in the fifth weekly D3Hoops.com Top 25 Poll.

The Polar Bears (10-2 overall, 5-0 Ohio Athletic Conference) received three points in voting conducted by 25 coaches, Sports Information Directors and media members from around the country.

Northern is making its first appearance in the poll since receiving votes the 2007-08 preseason poll and marks the ninth season in the 10-year history of the D3Hoops.com poll that Ohio Northern has received votes in the poll.

Men's Basketball stays perfect in OAC with 82-61 win at Otterbein

WESTERVILLE -- Ohio Northern got its running game going and posted an 82-61 men's basketball victory at Otterbein Saturday night at the Rike Center.

The Polar Bears improve to 10-2 overall and stay alone atop the Ohio Athletic Conference with a 5-0 mark, while the Cardinals fall to 3-9, 1-5.

Kurtis Brown led five ONU players in double figures with 16 points.
