Brent Donley has record-setting effort, plows No. 20 Football past John Carroll 35-14

ADA —  Brent Donley set an Ohio Northern record with 44 rushing attempts and gained a career-high 287 yard and a pair of touchdowns, leading the No. 20-ranked Polar Bears to a 35-14 victory over John Carroll Saturday afternoon at Dial-Roberson Stadium.

Jake Heaphy named to D3Football.com Team of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern senior Jake Heaphy was named to the D3Football.com Team of the Week for his efforts in ONU's 41-10 win at Marietta on Saturday.

Heaphy nailed a school-record 50-yard field goal, a 44-yard field goal, made all five of his extra point attempts and averaged 58.7 yards on seven kickoffs and had a 40-yard punt for the polar Bears.

Kyle Simmons, Jake Heaphy named OAC Football Players of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern junior Kyle Simmons and senior Jake Heaphy were named Ohio Athletic Conference Football Players of the Week for their efforts in ONU's 41-10 win at Marietta on Saturday.

Simmons was named the Offensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week, while Heaphy was named the Special Teams Player of the Week for the sixth time in his career.

Simmons completed 13 of 18 passes for 226 yards and 3 TDs and ran eight times for 56 yards to account for 282 yards of total offense.

MARIETTA -- No. 19 Ohio Northern scored on five its first six possessions and Jake Heaphy drilled a pair of long field goals, including a school-record 50-yarder, as the Polar Bears posted a 41-10 victory at Marietta Saturday afternoon at Don Drumm Stadium.

The Polar Bears improve to 4-2 overall and are 3-2 in Ohio Athletic Conference play, while the Pioneers fall to 2-4, 1-4.

Kyle Simmons named OAC Football Offensive Player of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern junior quarterback Kyle Simmons was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Football Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts in No. 19-ranked ONU's 38-7 victory over Heidelberg last weekend.

Simmons completed 20 of 29 passes for a career-high 280 yards and a TD and ran 10 times for 65 yards and a career-high three touchdowns. His 345 yards of total offense was also a career-high.
