No. 11 Football gets first win of season, first win in nation over UW-River Falls

ADA -- No. 11-ranked Ohio Northern set the tone for the 2010 football season by hosting the first NCAA Division III contest in the nation this year Thursday afternoon at Dial-Roberson Stadium.

The Polar Bears also tallied the first win of the 2010 football season with a 35-21 victory over Wisconsin-River Falls.

Ohio Northern to offer free admission, Red Cross fund raising drive for Football opener

ADA  — Ohio Northern director of athletics Tom Simmons has announced that admission will be free for the Polar Bears' football opener against Wisconsin-River Falls Thursday afternoon at Dial-Roberson Stadium.

No. 11-ranked ONU will face River Falls at 3 pm Thursday in the first game nationally of the NCAA Division III season.

The game can be seen live on a pay-per-view basis for just $10 on OhioCollegeFootball.com.

Football to be featured in SportsTime Ohio’s OAC preview showcase

In preparation of the first kickoff of 2010, SportsTime Ohio will debut its OAC Football Preview show tonight, Tuesday, Aug. 24 at 11:30 p.m.

The half-hour program will feature all ten conference football teams. Representing Ohio Northern on the preview show will be head coach Dean Paul, as well as senior quarterback Kyle Simmons and senior running back Brent Donley.

The show will also be broadcast Aug. 26 at 8 a.m., Aug. 28 at 2:30 p.m. and Sept. 1 at 12 p.m.
