Tim Glon - Sports Information Director
Tim Glon is in his 16th year as the director of sports information at Ohio Northern University.
He received his bachelor’s degree in communications from Purdue in 1988 and his master’s degree in athletic administration from Marshall in 1991.
Glon is active in the College Sports Information Directors of America, serving as vice-chair of the national publications contest committee, and has given numerous presentations at the national CoSIDA convention.
The ONU sports information department has received more than 20 CoSIDA media guide awards during his tenure.
He has also served as the president of the Ohio Athletic Conference Sports Information Directors Task Force.
Glon has been the media relations director for 21 NCAA Division III Championships events at ONU and has been involved with many other championships events.
He has served as the assistant media relations director for Team USA at the Aztec Bowl, a football all-star game held annually in Mexico, for the past seven years.
He also has experience with the Pan American Games and the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball, Indoor Track & Field and Women's Volleyball championships.
Glon served an assistant women’s basketball and softball coach at Ohio Northern in 1992.
He resides in Lima with his wife Bobbie and their son Harrison (7).
Steven Wright - Assistant Sports Information Director
Steven Wright is in his second year as the assistant sports information director at Ohio Northern.
A 2008 graduate, Wright earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management and a minor in Spanish from Ohio Northern.
Wright worked as a student worker in the sports information office from Sept. 2005 through graduation, helping with nearly all of Ohio Northern’s 21 varsity sports over the three years.
In his first year as a graduate assistant, Wright was honored with the AVCA Great Lakes Region Grant Burger Media Award for his work with the Ohio Northern women's volleyball team.
Wright is also in the second and final year of his master’s degree program in sport administration at Bowling Green.
As a member of ONU’s men’s club volleyball team, Wright was a three-year captain and led the Polar Bears to the 2007 Division II Club National Championship in Louisville, Ky.
Wright was named the Great Midwest Men’s Volleyball Conference MVP three consecutive seasons and earned First Team All-Tournament at the national championships twice.
In 2007, Wright set the school record for most kills (351) and block assists (107) in a season and ended his career as the school’s all-time leader in games played (409), attempts (2,537), digs (898) and block assists (255).
He resides in Ada.
