WSoccer suffers first loss of the season, falling to Hope (Mich.) 3-2

HOLLAND, Mich. -- Senior Erin Stapp and junior Angie Pisut scored a goal a piece for the Ohio Northern women’s soccer team as they went head-to-head today against Hope (Mich.), losing by a final score of 3-2.
The Lady Polar Bears fall to a 3-1-1 record while the Flying Dutch improve to 2-3-0.
Stapp kicked off the game by scoring in the 16th minute, with an assist by teammate Kaitlin Sanders, to put Ohio Northern in the lead.
Hope answered with three goals by Katie Lovinger, Allison VanBeck, and Sarah Sosolik to give the Dutch a commanding lead.
Pisut scored an unassited goal with seconds left on the clock, however there wasn’t enough time for the Polar Bears to pull ahead for the win.
The Lady Polar Bears return to the field tomorrow at 2 pm as they head to Calvin (Mich.)
