Women's Soccer dominates on offense in 6-0 victory at Mount Union

ALLIANCE - The Ohio Northern women's soccer team remained undefeated in Ohio Athletic Conference play in a fantastic offensive performance, defeating Mount Union on the road 6-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Northern is now 9-2-2, 3-0-0 OAC, while Mount Union falls to 3-9-1, 0-3-0.
Senor Stacey Barnhart led the offense for the second consecutive contest, scoring twice against the Purple Raiders.
Fellow senior Angie Pisut got the Polar Bears on the board first at the 16:14, beating the keeper far post after receiving a pass from senior Jamie Eiben.
The goal is Pisut's 12th overall and her third game winning goal, while Eiben now has dished out five assists.
Barnhart scored her first goal of the game just over three minutes later at the 19:29 mark off a free kick to give ONU a 2-0 halftime advantage.
Senior and ONU assist leader Kaitlin Sanders set up the next two score for Ohio Northern off corner kicks.
In the 54th minute, Sanders found junior Chelsea Albert in front of the goal who headed the ball past the keeper for her third score of the season.
At 67:30, Sanders assisted on Barnhart's second goal of the day and fifth of the season. It was again a header off a corner kick.
Sophomore Kim McGowan and Madeline White each scored in the final ten minutes for ONU.
McGowan found the back of the net at 80:07 on a breakaway, while White scored at 84:23 on another breakaway.
"This was a very good all-around performance for us today," said head coach Mark Batman. "We made improvements from the first half to the second half and adjusted to the pressure they were applying on us."
Ohio Northern will next host Baldwin-Wallace on Tuesday at 4 pm at the ONU Soccer Field.
