Women's Golf wins Heidelberg Invitational to improve to 21-3 on season

TIFFIN — Ashley Johnson fired an 80-83—163 to lead the Ohio Northern women's golf team to a victory at the 4-team Heidelberg Invitational Saturday and Sunday at the Mohawk Country Club.
The Polar Bears (21-3) finished with a 338-343—681 to easily defeat Baldwin-Wallace (795), Defiance (813) and Heidelberg (818).
Johnson was second overall out of 24 golfers.
Emily Gedert finished third with an 83-87—170, Terri Lynn Shigle was fourth with an 88-85—173 and Kaylea Thresher was fifth with an 87-88—175.
Kristine Khowcharoen of Hiram, playing as an individual, won medalist honors with a 79-79—158.
The Polar Bears will return to action Oct. 8 at the Allegheny (Pa.) Invitational.
