What is your major and how did you end up at on ONU?
I’m a Pharmacy major with a Business Administration minor. I ended up here for Pharmacy. Golf isn’t my main focus I just decided to play when I got here.

What are your strengths on the course?
My strengths would be my overall positive attitude. I like to make sure I stay level headed and not let the bad holes or shots bring me down, because it happens; it’s golf.

How have you seen yourself improve over the last three years at ONU?
When I came to ONU, I was a volleyball player in high school so I didn’t really take golf seriously. I can say that I have made worlds of a difference. I went from shooting over 100 to now shooting in the 80’s with the potential to shoot in the 70’s.

As a junior co-captain, what responsibilities do you feel you hold?
It’s definitely been a difficult year with the fact that we changed coaches half-way through the season. Through that time, I took on more responsibilities than a normal captain would. The main focus is to be successful.  Anything that would lead us in that direction is what I need to do this season.

What are your goals for the season?
Individually, I would like to become more persistent and improve on my game and the parts that I struggle in today.

What are your team goals?
We want to win OAC and go back to nationals. Overall, just be successful and improve on all of our skills.

How does it feel to be 7th in career top 20 low averages and 8th in season top 20 low averages?
It’s a great accomplishment for me to have these low scores because I know there are a lot of great girls that are with me and above me in these brackets. I’m just excited to see how this year goes and see how I improve in the future.

How do you balance a busy class schedule along with an intense golf season?
I’ve always felt like I’m more organized when I have a lot to do. Golf forces me to focus on my studies and get done what I need to do. Golf helps me accomplish this and do my best.

What is your favorite golf memory?
It has to be freshman year winning OACs and going to nationals. It was one of the best experiences of my life, even though it was during dead week of spring quarter. I wouldn’t change it for the world.

Who motivates you to do your best both in the classroom and on the course?
I personally set high goals for myself. I have a lot of support from my family, and also a lot of girls on the team do similar things so that definitely helps to keep me working hard. They push me to do well and accomplish everything I set out to do

How did it feel to be on the honorable mention all OAC team last year?
The main thing we have accomplished is winning the OAC championship. You individually have to do well to make the team better. It’s very rewarding to be recognized as part of this all OAC team because you know that you are ultimately making the team better. I like to know that I’m giving back and making us stronger.
