Women's Cross Country finishes fifth of 21 at All-Ohio Championships

DELAWARE — The Ohio Northern women’s cross country team placed fifith out of 21 NCAA Division III teams Friday at the All-Ohio Championships at the Delaware Golf Club course.
The Polar Bears finished with 162 points. Finishing first was Case Western Reserve with 70 points, while Oberlin placed second with 94 points, Baldwin-Wallace third with 134 points, and Wittenberg fourth with 134 points.
Freshman Alison Steinbrunner placed fifth overall in a time of 19:27.
Also placing in the top 40 were junior Amy Davis and senior Rachel Smith.
Davis placed 23rd in a time of 20:30 and Smith 36th in a time of 21:03.
Rounding out the scoring for Ohio Northern were sophomore Mallory Bloom, who placed 44th in 21:13, and senior Steph Hiser, who placed 54th in 21:22.
The Polar Bears will run next at the Oberlin Invitational on October 17.
