Women's Basketball to open 2009-10 schedule at Hanover (Ind.) Tip-Off Tournament Nov. 21-22

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's basketball team will open its 2009-10 schedule Nov. 21-22 at the Hanover (Ind.) Tip-Off Tournament.

The Polar Bears, under 10th-year head coach Michele Durand, will open both the home and the Ohio Athletic Conference portion of their 2009-10 schedule on Dec. 5 against Heidelberg at 3 pm at the ONU Sports Center.

Northern will also host Defiance and Adrian (Mich.) and will travel to kenyon, St. Mary's (Ind.) and Wittenberg to wrap up their non-conference slate.

As always, ONU will play the rugged, 18-game double round-robin OAC schedule with the OAC Tournament slated for Feb. 23-27.

The Polar Bears finished 9-17 overall and were 7-11 in OAC action in 2008-09.
