Ryan Paul named Third Team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America

ADA — Senior tennis player Ryan Paul (West Milton/Milton-Union), was named Third Team At-Large ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America for the 2008-09 seasons in voting conducted by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Paul was also a First Team Academic All-District IV selection.

Paul, a management/sports management major, is also a two-time Academic All-OAC honoree and is a three-time All-Conference honoree.

He was also named Academic All-District IV as a junior in 2008.

Paul ended his career ranked fifth all-time at ONU with a 120 victories. He is second all-time in doubles wins with a 70-28 career record, was 50-38 in singles play and was 120-66 overall.

This season, Paul was 11-14 at No. 1 singles, was 17-10 in doubles play and was 28-24 overall and was named the OAC Player of the Week on April 20.
