ADA — Seniors Regina Bresson and Joy Kessler have both been named ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District 4 for women's cross country and track & field as voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
This comes after both Bresson and Kessler also earned First Team Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors.
Bresson, a Canfield, Ohio, native, had a very successful senior campaign, as she was an important part to the OAC Champion cross country, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field teams.
She finished in eighth place and earned All-OAC honors for her efforts at the OAC Cross Country Championship, while bringing home conference titles in both the indoor and outdoor 5,000-meter runs.
Bresson also earned All-OAC honors twice more, finishing third in the indoor 3,000-meter run and finishing second in the outdoor 10,000-meter run.
Kessler is from Attica, Ohio, and along with Bresson, was an OAC champion during her final season for the Polar Bears.
Kessler won her only OAC title of the year in the indoor 500-meter run and also earned All-OAC honors for being a part of the second-place indoor 4x400-meter relay team.
During the outdoor season, Kessler helped the 4x800-meter relay (2nd) and the 4x400-meter relay (3rd) teams again earn All-OAC accolades.
