Pisut’s two goals propel women’s soccer to 2-0 victory over Centre (Ky.)

GREENCASTLE, Ind.- Senior Angie Pisut scored two goals to lead the Ohio Northern women’s soccer team to a 2-0 win over Centre (Ky.) Saturday evening at the DePauw Classic.
With the win, the Polar Bear’s record improves to 3-1-1 on the season while the Colonels drop to 3-2-0.
Pisut’s two goals give her five goals on the season.
Pisut’s first goal came in the first half when she took a pass from freshman Alicia Palivoda and shot it past Centre keeper Rosie McAuley. Palivoda’s assist was her first of the season.
Pisut’s next goal came later in the second half when she beat McAuley again with a brilliant shot.
Sophomore Chelsea Chadwick and senior Jamie Eiben were credited with the assists on the goal. The assists were Chadwick’s first on the year and Eiben’s third.
Northern keeper Kristen DeWees earned the shutout victory for the Polar Bears, her third of the season.
Ohio Northern returns to action on Wednesday, September 16 as they travel to Springfield Ohio to take on Wittenberg at 5 pm.
