    ADA — The Ohio Northern football team will kick off its 2010 season against Wisconsin-River Falls ranked No. 11 in the nation among Division III schools according to Lindy's College Football magazine.

    The Polar Bears posted an 8-2 record in 2009 and finished the season ranked No. 13 by D3Football.com and No. 24 by the American Football Coaches Association.

    Northern is one of three Ohio Athletic Conference schools to appear in the poll, as Mount Union is No.2 and Otterbein is No. 24.

    HARROD - The Ohio Northern athletic department welcomed more than 125 participants to the 4th Annual Alumni and Friends of Athletics Fundraiser on June 25th at Colonial Golfers Club.

    In just the fundraiser's fourth year of existence, everyone enjoyed a day of golf and great weather while helping raise more than $15,000 for the ONU athletic department.

    The money raised will help support efforts to renovate the entrance and hallways of the ONU Sports Center.

    EDMONTON, Alberta — Former Ohio Northern All-American Jamal Robertson ran for 168 yards and a touchdown to lead the B.C. Lions to a 25-10 victory over the Edmonton Eskimos in the Canadian Football League opener for both teams.
