No. 8 Volleyball to compete for a NCAA Championship this weekend in Bloomington, Ill.

ADA — The No. 8-ranked Ohio Northern volleyball team will compete for a national championship this weekend at the NCAA III Tournament Championships at Bloomington, Ill.
The Polar Bears (33-4) will face Williams (Mass.) in the qurterfinals Thursday night at 9:30 pm (EST) at the Shirk Center on the campus of Illinois Wesleyan University.
With a victory over the Ephs, Ohio Northern would face either No. 2 Emory (Ga.) or No. 23 Saint Benedict (Minn.) in the semifinals Friday night at 8 pm (EST).
The finals are slated for 8 pm (EST) Saturday night.
Northern advanced to the championships by winning the NCAA III Great Lakes Regonal Tournament last week at Wittenberg.
ONU defeated Westminster (Pa.), No. 5 Wittenberg and No. 3 Washington (Mo.) to win the regional tournament for the fourth time in school history.
Northern last reached the tournament championships in 1989 when the Polar Bears finiased runners-up.
ONU is making its 25th NCAA Tournament appearance in the 28-year history of the event and has an impressive 32-24 record in NCAA Tournament play.
The Polar Bears have won eight consecutive Ohio Athletic Conference titles and have posted an NCAA-record 33 consecutive winning seasons.
