No. 20 Men's Cross Country finishes in seventh place of 28 at Oberlin Inter Regional Rumble

OBERLIN - The No. 20-ranked Ohio Northern men’s cross country team finished seventh out of 28 teamsat the 8,000-meter course at Oberlin on Saturday.

This puts the Polar Bear record at 56-10 on the year.

Northern was led by senior Alan Bowsher who finished 11th in a time of 25:21.

Senior Brent Hiser finished in 27th in a time of 25:50.

Sophomore Dan Smith and senior Justin Dickman finished in 43rd and 45th, respectively, in times of 26:06 and 26:07.

Junior Jacob Schoenlein finished out the scoring for the Polar Bears with a 64th place finish in a time of 26:25.

Northern finished in seventh with 190 points behind four ranked opponents.

No. 18-ranked NYU finished first with 53 points, No. 5-ranked Aleegheny (Pa.) finished second with 56 points, No. 21-ranked Carnegie Melon (Pa.) finished third with 98 points, and No. 33-ranked University of St. Thomas (Minn.) finished fourth with 114 points.

The Polar Bears will compete at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships in two weeks at Wilmington.
