Mike Scott named assistant Cross Country, Track & Field coach at Ohio Northern

ADA — Mike Scott has been named an assistant coach with the men's and women's cross country and track & field programs at Ohio Northern University.
Scott comes to ONU after a two-year stint as an assistant coach at the University of Central Missouri in 2007 and 2008.
He has also served as head men's track & field coach at Southern Boone County (Mo.) HS and was an assistant coach for track & field for Rock Bridge HS in Columbia, Mo.
Scott is a USATF Level 1 coach and was the founder of the Mustangs track and field team in the Central Missouri Track & Field Association.
He ran track at the University of Missouri from 1994-96 and received his Bachelor's of Science degree from Missouri in 1998.
Scott also has degrees from Columbia (Mo.) College (BA, 2005), Missouri (Master's of Education, 2006), Central Missouri (Master's of Science, 2008).
He will receive his PhD in health education and promotion from Missouri in December of 2009.
Scott is single and resides in Ada.
