Men's Tennis gets one First Team and three Second Team All-OAC selections

ADA - The Ohio Northern men's tennis team had one player earn First Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference and three players earn Second Team All-OAC for their efforts in the 2009 season.

Freshman Nick Kowalczyk was the lone Polar Bear to earn First Team All-OAC honors.

He went 8-1 in No. 2 singles during conference play, while posting a 7-1 record at No. 1 doubles with senior Ryan Paul in the OAC.

Paul was one of three players to earn Second Team honors. He was a mainstay at No. 1 singles, recording a 5-4 conference record.

Also earning Second Team All-OAC honors were senior Chris Dohner and sophomore Jeff Carter.

The two teammates joined forces at No. 2 doubles to go 7-1 in the conference. Dohner went 7-1 in OAC play at No. 3 singles, while Carter went 8-1 at No. 4 singles.

Ohio Northern finished its season with a 14-6 overall record and a 7-2 record in OAC Regular Season action.

The Polar Bears made it to the conference tournament finals before falling to champion Mount Union.
