Men's Soccer jumps to 5-0 with 4-0 victory over Manchester (Ind.)

The Ohio Northern men’s soccer team opened its ONU-Adidas Classic Friday at the ONU Soccer Field with a win over Manchester (Ind.) by a score of 4-0.
Freshman Christian Huelsman led the Polar Bears with two goals in the game.
ONU remains undefeated with a record of 5-0 while Manchester falls to 1-4-2 on the season.
In the 5th minute, senior goalkeeper Aaron Collins sent the ball down the field to freshman Cory Dobkins who then passed to senior Adam Ross, allowing him to send the ball flying into the net for his first goal of the season.
Ross then earned an assist by passing off to Huelsman for his first goal of the game at the 13:47 mark to put the Polar Bears up 2-0.
With two minutes left in the first half, sophomore Chet Gapczynski received a pass from freshman Mark Mazzone for his first goal of the season at 43:04.
Huelsman added his second goal of the game in the 78th minute as junior Chris Corrado recorded the assist. The goal was Huelsman’s fifth of the season.
Allegheny (Pa.) defeated Alma (Mich.) in the second game of the day 2-0.
Ohio Northern continues play in the ONU-Adidas Classic on Saturday as it hosts Allegheny at 12:30 pm in what will serve as the tournament championship game.
