Men's Soccer drops first OAC game after giving up double-overtime goal

ADA - Mount Union's Ross McCain knocked in the only goal of the game in the 103rd minute of double overtime, leading the Purple Raiders past the Ohio Northern men's soccer team 1-0 Saturday night at Mount Union Stadium.

The victory was MUC's first Ohio Athletic Conference of the season, taking its record to 6-6-1 overall, 1-2-0 overall.

The Polar Bears are now 11-3, 2-1.

The team's had an identical 17 shots and five shots on goal, as ONU goalkeeper Aaron Collins made four saves and MUC keeper Bobby Petras made five saves.

Freshman Nate Bascom took three shots for Northern, while seniors Ben Jackson and Adam Ross and sophomore Chaz McCullah were the other Polar Bears to take multiple shots with two.

Northern will host Baldwin-Wallace on Tuesday at 4 pm to continue OAC play.
