Men's Golf finishes in seventh place at Ohio Athletic Conference Championships

NEW ALBANY - The Ohio Northern men's golf team finished in 7th place at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championship hosted by Otterbein at the New Albany Country Club.

The Polar Bears finished with 672 strokes, while Otterbein won the event with 639 strokes.

Zach Koinis of Heidelberg was the OAC Championship medalist by four strokes, shooting a 74-76--150 over the two-round tournament.

Joel Metzker was the best-finishing Polar Bear, going 85-80--165 for a t13th-place finish.

Phil Makowski shot the low-round of the weekend for ONU, firing a Round 2 77. He shot an 89 during Round 1 to finish with 166 strokes and in a tie for 15th place.

Paul Morbitzer also finished in a tie for 15th place, going 84-82--166.

Finshing up the scoring for Ohio Northern was Tom Repicky who shot an 86-89--175 to finish in 34th place.

The Polar Bears were again without their top golfer, as Ben Kretz was forced to withdraw from the tournament in Round 1 due to injury.

Ohio Northern finishes its season with a 45-55 record on the year.
